The Bulls were stunned by a late blitz from the Jaguares as they crashed to a 22-29 defeat at the hands of the Jaguares at Loftus on Saturday.
The men from Pretoria were coming off an away victory against the Sharks in Durban, while the South Americans were reeling from three straight losses on the road.
It looked as if it would be more of the same for the Argentine outfit early on as Mannie Libbok’s boot gave the hosts a nine-point advantage early on, before Pablo Matera’s five-pointer reduced the deficit with Santiago Gonzales Iglesias adding the extra two.
The Bulls would go into the break 9-7 to the good, and were the first to score in the second half – Jade Stighling crashing over to give them a seven-point lead.
Iglesias added a three-pointer for the visitors, and it was followed by two penalties from Libbok as the hosts went 20-10 up on the hour mark.
That would be their last score as Domingo Miotti crashed over twice in the last ten minutes, stealing the win for the Jaguares who claimed only their second victory this season.
