The departure of Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon from the club has taken the number of exits ahead of the new season to six.
The 22-year-old did not have his contract – which expires in June – renewed by the club and will not be a part of the setup in the upcoming season.
He joins five other players who have been released in recent weeks, as the club seeks to refresh its squad after a disappointing season.
Moon, who joined Chiefs from Maritzburg United in 2016, announced his departure on Instagram.
“It is with great gratitude that I announce that I will be leaving Kaizer Chiefs. It has been a whirlwind of an experience. I would like to thank the fans for all their support from the onset and throughout. I would also like to thank the management and the various coaches for the opportunities. To my former teammates, thank you for all the memories and all of the best gents.”
