The Orlando Pirates headquarters were a hive of activity on Monday, with eight additions to the club’s ranks announced on the day.

The Buccaneers strengthen up the goalkeeping department – first unveiling their new goalkeeper coach Jyri Nieminen, before announcing the signing of French shot-stopper, Joris Delle.

It was soon apparent that the club has been busy in the transfer market, with six more players unveiled at Orlando Stadium.

In addition to Delle, the club has signed midfielders Siphesihle Ndlovu and Fortune Makaringe from Maritzburg United, as well as Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam and Tshegofatso Mabasa – all from Bloemfontein Celtic. The other player signed by the Buccaneers is Tebogo Tlolane, who joins from Chippa United.

“All players underwent medicals last week with the rest of the squad to establish their readiness for the pre-season schedule that the technical team has prepared,” the club revealed in its website.

“Strengthening of the squad has been the number one priority for the administrative office in anticipation of yet another gruelling season.”

The club revealed that all six players will be joined by their new teammates later on the day, as the pre-season training kicks off.
