Liverpool and Porto have revealed their starting XIs for the Champions League quarterfinal first leg at Anfield.

James Milner starts at left back in place of Andy Robertson who is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the last sixteen triumph over Bayern Munich last month.

Dejan Lovren returns to partner Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the Liverpool defence that will be tested by Francisco Soares and Moussa Marega in the Porto attack.

Liverpool hammered Porto 5-0 in the last sixteen in last seasons Champions League but this time the Portuguese side are a different prospect boosted by Danilo, who was absent that day.

Fabinho, Naby Keita and skipper Jordan Henderson form a line of three solid midfield men behind Liverpool’s dynamic trio of attacking players Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Porto will adopt a more traditional shape with a 4-4-2 formation they hope will help to counter Liverpool’s attacking threat and pace in the wide areas.
