The main suspect in the brutal murder of Los Angeles rapper, Nipsey Hussle, has finally been caught and placed under arrest by the LAPD.
As reported by Pitchfork, investigators moved in on Eric Holder at a hideout in Lakewood, California, on Tuesday. The suspect did not resist arrest as he was taken in for questioning in the murder case.
Why was Nipsey Hussle killed?
Ermias “Nipsey” Asghedom was gunned down outside of his clothing store on Sunday afternoon.
CCTV footage that surfaced on social media showed Nipsey standing outside with two individuals.
The image is too grainy to make out any faces but a suspect is seen approaching the rapper and gunning him down in point-blank range.
Many industry mates of the rapper have gone on record to dismiss any rumours about this being either attached to gang violence or government conspiracies.
Sources close to the family have revealed that the murderer knew Nipsey personally and that the shooting was the result of a verbal altercation between the two, only moments before he was killed.

Other sources placed Holder in the vicinity of the crime scene around the time Nipsey was shot.
It is alleged that the suspect is a confidential informant that works with law enforcement.
In US street culture, these people are referred to as “snitches” and are shunned upon.
Reports allege that the rapper, whose vision was to bring robust economic activity to the popular Crenshaw and Slauson Ave area, did not want Holder lurking around.
After a brief altercation, it is alleged that Holder left to fetch his weapon and returned to spray bullets at the rapper, injuring two other victims.
The 29-year-old suspect is believed to have fled off in a white Chevy with a female driver, who has yet to be identified and arrested.
Since his death, Nipsey’s music activity on streaming platforms has risen by a record-breaking 2 997%.
He is an independent musician with full ownership of his masters, so the proceeds will flow directly to his family.
