There is still plenty to play for in Round 18 of the 2019 Super Rugby, with spots in the knockouts still up for grabs.

Play-off spots are all but decided in the New Zealand conference, while the other two pools will see fierce battles for the respective second qualifying spots.

The Waratahs are one of those sides still within a shot of qualifying to the next round, and travel to a Highlanders side only playing for pride in Dunedin first up.

Friday’s other fixture sees another Aussie side taking on a Kiwi outfit playing what’s potentially their final game of this year’s tournament as the Rebels seek to consolidate second spot in their conference.

There’s an early morning clash first up on Saturday (SAST), with the SA conference winners the Jaguares hosting wooden spoonists the Sunwolves, before the New Zealand derby between the Hurricanes and the Blues in Wellington.

Australian conference winners, the Brumbies welcome the Reds to Canberra later on, and the first sighting of South African teams is the coastal derby between the Stormers and the Sharks, who both stand a chance of going through.

The action concludes at Loftus Versfeld, where the Bulls host rivals, the Lions in what could be a shootout for the second qualifying spot in the SA conference.
