Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has named Wayne Sandilands and Luvuyo Memela in his starting XI that will face Bidvest Wits at Milpark Stadium on Saturday.
The two players were doubtful starters ahead of the clash after picking up knocks in the clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Monday.
Sandilands had to be replaced by Siyabonga Mpontshane in the first half after sustaining a head injury, and had been assessed throughout the week to determine whether he was fit to start against the 2016/17 champions.
It was the same story for the winger, who sustained a deep gash on his thigh later in the encounter and was subbed off in the second half, much to Pirates’ fans concern – given his recent history with injury.
Both men are, however, fit and raring toto go after making the travelling squad and subsequently being included in the final XI ahead of the crucial encounter which will have some serious bearing on where the PSL title winds up come the end of the season.
Pirates will be without Thembinkosi Lorch, who is serving out a one match suspension after collecting four yellow cards this season, while Wits welcome a key player returning from a similar sanction in skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo who, once again, sons the armband.
The two sides have a chance to top the PSL table with leaders, Sundowns engaged in Caf Champions League action, as they are tied on 41 points, three behind the defending champions.
