1926 | Herman Charles Bosman, a South African author, was found guilty of killing his stepbrother. At the age of 21, he was sentenced to death. He was pardoned later on and his sentence was reduced to 10 years.

1988 | Barend Strydom, a 21-year-old South African, murdered 8 people and wounded 16 people seriously. He professed that he was the leader of a non-existent white supremacist group called the ‘Wit Wolwe’ (White Wolves).
