In a tweet on 16 February, Boity said she was looking for an altar to marry television presenter Masego “Maps” Maponyane.

In a post to her 3.3 million followers, she said that according to Black Twitter she and Maps Maponyane should be getting married soon and that she would find an altar in the meantime.

TWITTER REACTS TO BOITY’S POST

The post received 1,700 likes, 130 retweets and 86 comments. The Tweeps did not hold back and flooded the comments section with love and laughter.

One Tweep said she should not use black Twitter as an excuse and should just say she wanted to marry Maps.

Others took her not-so subtle hints as the popular television presenter “shooting her shot”.

ARE BOITY AND MAPS MAPONYANE ACTUALLY DATING?

There is no actual confirmation of the pair dating. However, they do drop subtle hints of their romance on social media.

In 2020, Boity tweeted she could not wait to have her husband leave her R100,000 on her dressing table.

“Can’t wait for my husband to leave R100K on my dressing table for brunch with the girls. 1f60a - Wedding bells: Boity is looking for a venue to marry Maps Maponyane1f60a - Wedding bells: Boity is looking for a venue to marry Maps Maponyane1f602 - Wedding bells: Boity is looking for a venue to marry Maps Maponyane1f602 - Wedding bells: Boity is looking for a venue to marry Maps Maponyane1f602 - Wedding bells: Boity is looking for a venue to marry Maps Maponyane”

MAPS’S MOTHER CALLS BOITY HER DAUGHTER-IN-LAW

Also in 2020, Maps’s mother, Sylvia Maponyane, received a branded gift from Boity. Maps then tweeted a video of his mother thanking her and also calling her her daughter-in-law. The tweet has since been removed.

“Thank you Boity, thank you Boitumelo, thank you, my love, thank you ‘ngwetsi yaka’ (my daughter-in-law), I love you,” Sylvia Maponyane said in the video.

The television personality replied to the video saying: “Tell Mama I love her too! Very much.”
