HBO has given us one last tease before the date we have all been waiting for. The network, in the early hours of Tuesday morning (CAT), released two Game of Thrones season 8 promos under the respective themes: Together and Survival.
When will Game of Thrones season 8 be released?
The final season of the most-watched TV show in history will mark the beginning of its end — in South African time — on Monday, 15 April.
DStv often simulcasts the show’s episodes at the same time they air in the United States.
Those who do not have it in them to stay up for the first airing of season 8 in the early hours of the morning will be able to watch the repeat later in the evening.
What to expect from season 8
A lot has been teased about what fans can expect from the show’s season finale. Actors of the show like Kit Harington (Jon Snow or Targaryen, whichever you choose), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) have found it extremely hard to remain tightlipped about what we can expect from season 8.
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is the only one that told us to expect a shocking end to the season finale.
Will most of our favourite stars die? Does Jon ever find out about his true past? Will we see the very worst of betrayals one last time?
All of this mystery makes for an excruciating countdown.
With only a matter of days before we bear witness to how the end begins, here are the official season 8 promos to keep you tantalised.
