In the most recent episode of MTV’s Behind the Story, hosted by Pearl Thusi, popular rapper Kiernan Forbes known as AKA, opened up about his past relationship with Bonang Matheba.

Details of his fallout with Matheba have been covered extensively in his latest LP, Touch My Blood. The couple’s public love affair is well documented. However, it was never explicitly stated why exactly they broke things off.

How AKA and Matheba’s break-up resurfaced

It really did not concern us, nor did it matter, until AKA brought up fresh allegations against Matheba in one of his songs on the album.

On Beyonce (the title track of the song in question), AKA recalls the watershed moment in their relationship, where he allegedly stumbled upon a plastic bag filled with rocks in his bedroom.

“You think you know someone until you unpack all their sh*t & find rocks tied up in a plastic bag in your bedroom cupboard.

“I’m not talking bath salts … I’m talking the type of rocks you pull out the river. What they’re doing wrapped up in my bedroom? I don’t know,” the rapper revealed in a tweet.

It was all forgotten until AKA brought the issue up again in the tell-all interview with Thusi, who made very little effort in deflecting the subject.

AKA claims he was under Matheba’s love spell

Asked to reveal more about the incident, AKA went on to talk about how he had confronted Matheba about the bizarre bag of rocks that were placed underneath his clothes.

According to the rapper, Matheba’s response was that they were bath salts gifted to her by a make-up artist from Cape Town. He then made another shocking accusation, implying that Matheba may have cast a love spell on him with the rocks.

“You know, for some reason, I had always felt this uncontrollable, like, attraction, like gravity, illogical, without reason. I don’t know. Does that make me weird?” he said.

Thusi, once more, did nothing to divert attention away from the subject, and so it went on, a cringe conversation between DJ Zinhle’s baby daddy and her best friend. You can watch the clip in question below.
