Best quote from I Feel Pretty

“I think a lot of people are confused about themselves. They obsess over whatever negative quality they perceive in themselves and they completely miss the thing that really makes them awesome.”

I Feel Pretty Plot

Critics’ reviews

The critics are divided on this one. Some like it while others hate it. Michael O’Sullivan from the Washington Post said “it’s a bit of mixed message to suggest that superficial self-regard is both desirable and deplorable.”

Emily Yoshida from Vulture said it functions well as a rom-com. However, she added that the love story isn’t believable. In addition, Peter Debruge from Variety said:

“What sets ‘I Feel Pretty’ apart is the inspired premise that Renee’s transformation takes place entirely in her head, while those around her are left befuddled by her sudden change of attitude”.
