It’s going to be a wet weekend, but fear not, M-Net has your back. What better way to spend a Sunday evening than turning it into a movie night.

Game Night airs Channel 101 at 20:05. The black comedy thriller is directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Best quote from Game Night:

“This is instructions on how to remove a bullet. They didn’t have rubbing alcohol so I brought you this lovely chard.”

Annie.

Game Night Plot

Max and Annie’s weekly game night gets kicked up a notch when Max’s brother Brooks arranges a murder mystery party – complete with fake thugs and federal agents. So when Brooks gets kidnapped, it’s all supposed to be part of the game.

As the competitors set out to solve the case, they start to learn that neither the game nor Brooks are what they seem to be. The friends soon find themselves in over their heads as each twist leads to another unexpected turn over the course of one chaotic night.

Reviews

Game Night was a hit with the critics. Michael Ordona from Common Sense Media the “hilarious gonzo comedy has a sharp script, clever direction and an excelled cast,” while Amy West from Empire said:

“With its clever, whip-smart script and enthusiastic ensemble cast firing on all cylinders, crime comedy filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein score big with Game Night.”

Owen Gleiberman from Variety was as impressed and said the “gimmicky mouse-trap fun of it hinges on one’s willingness to see the game board yanked out from under you.”
