NEW NASTY C VIDEO SHOT IN CAPE TOWN AND DC

Black and White is from Nasty C’s Zulu Man With Some Power album which was released in August 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the two artists were not able to shoot the video together and shot their scenes separately.

Ari Lennox, real name Courtney Salter, was the first women to be signed to J Cole’s record label, Dreamville. She shot her scenes in the US as she lives in Washington DC. Nasty C’s were filmed in Cape Town.

The song is produced by New York-based international record label Def Jam Records.

CHEMISTRY BETWEEN NASTY C AND ARI LENNOX

Lennox is known for her hit Shea Butter Baby and though the two are far away physically, there is clearly chemistry in the video. The theme is how simple love can be when communication remains clear.

Directed by Kyle White, the video opens with Nasty C singing the introduction. It then cuts to both artists grabbing a cup of coffee in sync. Next they share text messages and list steps to clear communication that will benefit their relationship.

Viewers get an inside view of a long-distance relationship between a couple who make it work with video calls, virtual gifts, wining and dining, and a whole lot of love.
