Nadia Nakai has finally received a release date for her debut album. The Zimbabwean-born rapstress announced the exciting news on Twitter with a slick graphic that bore the title and date of her first studio project.
Nadia Nakai new album: When is it dropping?

Nadia Naked will be dropping on 28 June. The First Lady of Family Tree, Cassper Nyovest’s record label, will finally get an opportunity to showcase her musical talent. Building a career off the success of one or two songs is relative in this era of the music business.
For the most part, Nakai has built a solid reputation for herself. Her two biggest records are single releases that accompanied a campaign of some sort.
Nakai’s next phase: The album recording artist
Her standout appearance on Riky Rick’s Amantombazane Remix, captured the attention of Nyovest, who took her under his wing.
After a decent run with the Bragga EP, he helped her establish herself as a mainstream force with his feature on her most commercially-successful single to-date, Naa Mean.
Nakai’s regular appearances on stages across the country speaks a lot in favour of the commercial viability she’s achieved. However, the weight of a debut album is different to that of her recent moves.
What to expect from Nadia Naked?
There is a lot of marketing that goes behind the promotion of the album and Nakai will be expected to deliver on all fronts: quality, impact, and — the crown jewel of South Africa’s music industry — touring.
The camp has, for the most part, been very tight-lipped about the features she has on the album.
This has only increased the excitement around the project and it was evident when her fans and peers reacted to the announcement.
