Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kicked off the celebrations by visiting Canada House in central London. The event aims at showcasing the diverse community of young Canadians living in the United Kingdom.
After that, they visited a group of Canadians in London who taught them about the spring tradition of making maple taffy. After their sugar high, Meghan and Harry watched a special musical performance.
Supporting young Canadians in the United Kingdom
They also met with young Canadians working in fashion, the arts, business and academia. While no doubt a trip down memory lane for Meghan, who was based in Toronto for more than six years while filming Suits, it was also part of her official duties.

She was also named as vice president of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust just a week ago. Prince Harry serves as president of the Trust, while Queen Elizabeth remains a patron.
Plans for Commonwealth Day includes Meghan and Harry joining the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, as well as Prince William and Duchess Catherine at Westminster Abbey later today for the annual Commonwealth Day Service.

Always fashion forward
Meghan chose a rich green embroidered coat by Canadian designer Erdem Moralıoğlu. She completed the look with Aquazzura high heels and a matching green satin Givenchy clutch bag. Prince Harry looked dapper in a navy suit and mauve tie.
It’s not the first time that Meghan shows her support for Canadian designers. She also has items from Soia & Kyo, House of Nonie, LINE and Aritzia in her closet.
Moreover, Meghan maintains a busy schedule as her due date is drawing closer. While a date hasn’t been confirmed as yet, it’s been widely reported that the royal tot is expected towards the end of April.
