With homegrown talent, on and off the camera, and Mzansi’s magical locations making their way onto Netflix screens worldwide, you can’t help but feel that sense of pride.

The latest addiction to the collection is the locally acquired series, Shadow. Starring our own Pallance Dladla in the role of Shadow himself and Amanda du-Pont, who plays Ashley, his love interest.

Following the brutal and unjust murder of a young girl, former task force specialist, Shadrach ‘Shadow’ Khumalo, quits his job to become a fixer for people like him. People who have been failed by the criminal justice system.

With the help of his former partner, Shadow cuts a swathe through the city’s underworld. He takes full advantage of a rare condition that affects his central nervous system: he is impervious to physical pain.

The show was shot in 50 locations around Jozi including Maboneng, Hartbeespoort Dam, The Vaal Dam and The Orlando Towers.
