Die Siener, which starts the Wednesday after Easter at 20:00, will see Burger attempt to help various people communicate with the dead and dealing with supernatural phenomena that are tormenting people.
Who is Gerald Burger?
Burger is a clairvoyant who successfully predicted a flood in Lainsburg in January 1981. Since then, he has been asked to consult with the police on criminal cases.
Burger explains that he knew he could predict the future since he was a child. In Die Siener, he shows us the kind of cases he has been dealing with full-time.

During the show, we’ll watch him take on a poltergeist as well as take trips to visit well known haunted houses like Die Kasteel, the Lord Milner Hotel in Matjiesfontein and the Rudd House in Kimberly.
“I want to help where I can with the talent I received,” says Gerald. “There is so much sadness.”
Die Siener joins a host of international and local clairvoyants who have taken to the small screen in various show formats. The show’s producer is certain that Burger is legit and that viewers are in for a treat.
Rian Van Heerden, the show’s producer, say’s he’s still struggling to understand how Burger does what he does. He adds:
“But what I do know, is that he is the real deal and there are things on this earth that we will never be able to explain.”
Die Siener will join Die Spreeus as part of a dark and supernatural winter lineup, with the Afrikaans channel pushing some boundaries for Afrikaans drama.
Die Siener will be broadcast on Wednesday at 20:00 from 24 April on kykNET DStv channel 144. Catch Die Spreeus ever Tuesday at 20:00 on kykNET DStv Channel 144.
