Game of Thrones Season 8: Everything we know so far

Game of Thrones Season 8 will return and premiere in April 2019.

It has been revealed that the last season of Game of Thrones will consist of only six episodes. But, the good news is, each episode can be set to run for more than 80 minutes.

So far details about Game of Thrones’ final season has been kept tightly under wraps. But, it seems executive producer and writer Bryan Cogman has teased the overall theme of the eighth season:

“It’s about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death,” Cogman told EW.

“It’s an incredibly emotional, haunting, bittersweet final season and I think it honours very much what [author George R.R. Martin] set out to do – which is flipping this kind of story on its head.”
