Beyonce is, once again, bearing the fruits of mastering the element of surprise. The US-singer, in the early hours of Wednesday, sent shockwaves across the globe with the release of a previously-unannounced live album, a project that came along with her Netflix Homecoming documentary.
Bey had only teased us with a short montage of her documentary a week ago.
Fans expected to see what it took for the queen of the Beyhive to prepare for one of her best live performances ever, a truly iconic display that spurred fans to rename the festival to “Beychella”.

The trailer also featured appearances from her daughter, Blue Ivy, and much coveted-twins, Rumi and Sir. We also expected to see how, through her art, she paid respects to historically-black universities and colleges in the United States.
Fans reaction to new live album and doccie
Without a doubt, the documentary delivered on all fronts, allowing fans to relive a truly special moment in live music history. However, in true Bey fashion, she had a lot more in store for us.
The release of doccie was accompanied by a full-length, live album version of the iconic festival performance. Fans took to social media to react to the surprise.
